What we collect

When you run a savings check, we collect your company name, contact name, email, business type, and the item details you enter (names, categories, unit costs, quantities, order frequency, lead times). If you create an account, we also store your sign-in email and, if you use Google sign-in, the account info Google shares with us for that purpose. If you use the workspace, we store what you put in it: projects and their briefs, orders, and the sales days you log for your markets and stores (sales figures, costs, staff names you enter, weather notes).

How we use it

To run the diagnostic (comparing your item costs against researched market pricing), to prepare and send quotes you request, to email you about your diagnostic or quote, and to show your own reports back to you when you sign in. We don’t sell this information.

Who else sees it

Service providers that run the app on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (accounts, authentication, and the database), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on the intake form), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), Perplexity (market-price research, run against item descriptions, not your contact details), and Anthropic (the site assistant; see below). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. We don’t sell your information to anyone.

Where AI is involved

The chat bubble on this site is an AI assistant, and it says so when it opens. What you type to it is processed by Anthropic’s Claude API to generate the reply and is not used by Anthropic to train its models. Market-price research for checks runs on Perplexity’s AI using item descriptions only. Your reports and quotes are prepared with these tools and reviewed by a person before anything is promised to you.

How long we keep it

Diagnostics and the quotes attached to them are kept for 24 months from submission, so you can come back to a report and so we can answer questions about a quote we sent. Intakes that were started and abandoned are cleared after 30 days. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.

Your options

Signed in, Settings has two buttons: Download my data gives you everything we hold as one file, and Request deletion starts erasure of your account data. Or email hello@wisemerch.com to ask what we have, correct it, or have it deleted. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, these are your access, rectification, erasure, and portability rights under the GDPR, and you can also complain to your local data authority.
